Hotel Information:Best Western-Culpeper Inn 540-825-1253 Official Sponsor of the SBD What is Rally Racing?A Rally is a one or two day "mini" derby race. Driver registration is open to anyone that shows up with their car, from any town or state. All cars must race by the rules and guidelines set forth by the All-American Soap Box Derby. All cars are weighed to insure each car is not over it's legal maximum weight per division. The winners of the rallies are given trophies along with AASBD "points" that are accumulated throughout the racing season. The driver with the most rally points in our region (ours is Region 8 - it includes MD, VA, NC & Washington DC) will go to Akron during the All-American World Championship Race and race as a Rally Champ, representing Region 8. Why have a Rally?
